When I was reading through Mystic X’s Magick Power Course one of the lessons reminded me about NLP. Now this has nothing to do with magick at all. NLP is something based on human psychology but I think at times it almost reaches out away from human psychology into something more. And that’s where things get interesting for me.
NLP stands for neuro-linguistic programming and it is a personal development technology pioneered by a man named Richard Bandler.
Bandler likes to tell this story of a science experiment about yogurt. A sampling of yogurt was put into two separate cups and in spite of the yogurt being apart it was able to sense what was happening to the other yogurt. 1 cup of yogurt had electrodes in it and the other had milk poured into it. The milk reaction with yogurt jolted the other cup’s electrodes and a lot of activity was picked up through the electrode.
In other words – yogurt can sense intention. The experiments were done by Cleve Backster and you can see a video of another one of Baxter’s experiments right here:
So what does this mean? It’s about primary perception. Yogurt senses intention. Plants detect hostility. This happens at a cellular level. Science alone can’t explain it all.
There’s obviously something more to us than we have been led to believe.
And what does this have to do with Mystic X’s Magick Power Course? It goes to something I believe in very strongly which is that science is incomplete and the supernatural can be observed but now always explained. Let me tell you some more things about this course.
